We conduct reliability evaluations of fuel tank systems to ensure customers can drive and refuel with peace of mind in any market environment. We primarily perform bench tests on systems and driving tests on vehicles, and are responsible for reliability development through experimental planning and mechanism elucidation.
This job involves defining system weaknesses from the system configuration, creating experimental conditions to evaluate those weaknesses based on market usage and environment, and actually planning experiments. You will leverage your relevant specialized knowledge, communicate with related departments, synthesize various opinions, and incorporate them into experimental conditions.
The workplace consists of a group of engineers (experiment planning) and a group of technical engineers (experiment execution). We cooperate with each other, challenging new experiments and technical issues daily, incorporating new technologies in addition to past experiences. The department includes members from young to veteran, and there is an atmosphere where you can consult various people when you are in trouble.
You can directly feel how vehicle performance and structure improve by feeding back experimental results, and you can experience contributing to manufacturing. You can deepen your knowledge of material mechanics, fluid dynamics, etc., which are important in automobile development, through fuel tank reliability development work. You can experience the entire process from proposing equipment investment to introducing new experimental facilities. You can build a network with various people as there are many related departments and individuals.
You can specialize in fuel tank reliability experiments and aim to become a manager in this field and the reliability industry. Furthermore, you can deepen your knowledge of material mechanics, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and materials engineering, which are necessary in many industries for automobile development, making it easy to apply to other fields such as component design.
Possess knowledge necessary for automobile development such as material mechanics, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics.
