Job Description

SOFTSWISS is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their expanding team. The role is crucial in maintaining accurate financial reporting and overseeing payment workflows within a dynamic international setting. Responsibilities include participating in month-end closing, managing workflows and payments, checking customer calculations, reconciling billing, reviewing data from partners, preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports, contributing to automation projects, and assisting with budget and forecast preparation. The accountant will also handle ad hoc reports and analyses as requested by management.
Must have:
  • Higher education in finance/accounting
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • English and Russian fluency (upper-intermediate)
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Experience with 1C, Xero, or similar
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and in a team

Overview:

SOFTSWISS continues to expand the team and is looking for an Accountant.

We need a true, experienced and accomplished professional who shares our culture and values.

Purpose of the Role:

You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and efficient control over payments and workflows in a fast-paced international environment.
Your attention to detail and analytical mindset will help identify discrepancies, improve processes, and support critical business decisions through timely reporting and insightful analysis.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to automate routine tasks, support budgeting and forecasting, and contribute to the financial stability and growth of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participating in month-end-close activities
  • Workflow and payments control
  • Monthly customer’s calculations check and billing reconciliation
  • Review and control data received from business partners
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and periodical financial reporting
  • Participating in automation projects, incl. Initiating and implementation control (testing)
  • Preparing budgets and forecasts together with department heads to implement their initiatives and achieve corporate goals
  • Other Ad Hoc reports, analysis, tasks requested by management

Required Experience:

  • Higher education in finance/ accounting, or a related field
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience preferably within international companies
  • Strong analytical skills
  • English and Russian (at least upper-intermediate, both written and oral)
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other financial software
  • Experience with 1C and Xero or similar software
  • Meticulous attention to detail with superb organisational skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
