This full-time, hybrid role involves verifying monthly remuneration processes, tracking accounting centralization related to payroll, and preparing monthly compliance and schedule adherence reports. The specialist will also ensure compliance with local policies and legal regulations, participate in audits, and collaborate with other departments to maintain financial information integrity. The role requires a Public Accountant with 2 years of experience in payroll reviews and general accounting under IFRS.

Job Description

Deliverables:

  • Verification of monthly remuneration processes.
  • Verification and monitoring of accounting and/or financial centralization processes related to Payroll.
  • Monthly reports on control indicator compliance.
  • Monthly report on regional schedule adherence.

Responsibilities of the position:

  • Verifies the integral monthly staff remuneration process, supporting the management of those responsible for liquidation in each Spanish Latam entity.
  • Verifies the integral commission liquidation process, supporting the person responsible for liquidation.
  • Verifies compliance with local policies, as well as current legal regulations that apply to each of the payrolls, commissions, supported by the efforts and knowledge of internal and external payroll managers and the commissions manager.
  • Tasks may include preparing financial statements, tracking transactions, reconciling accounts, and presenting reports.
  • Participate in internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the integrity of financial information.

Requirements

  • Education: Public Accountant
  • Experience: 2 years as a specialist, senior accounting analyst, accounting coordinator, with specific experience in payroll reviews in Colombia, specific experience in general accounting under IFRS.
  • Required technical knowledge: Current Colombian labor legislation, current IFRS regulations, Excel proficiency, ideal Oracle ERP knowledge.
  • Competencies: Detail-oriented, Planning and organization, adaptability, problem analysis, solution management, teamwork.

Additional Information

The Accounting & Operations area is responsible for the payroll liquidation process for Spanish Latam entities, based on Regional and Country policies and procedures, legal, fiscal, and accounting regulations applicable to each country, and taking into account the updates reported by each responsible area, the correct and timely liquidation of direct employee payroll is carried out, and in general, the entire payment, accounting, and reporting process associated with employee payroll. The Accounting & Operations team is composed of the area leader and the analysts/specialists who support accounting, payroll, and commission tasks.
