Aftermarket Technical Development Engineer M/F

Valeo Service is seeking an Aftermarket Technical Development Engineer M/F in Saint-Denis, France. The role involves managing and executing technical development of after-sales products and services for distributors/repairers. Key responsibilities include identifying customer needs, writing functional specifications, monitoring product development, defining validation tests, identifying suppliers, and assisting customers with technical issues. The ideal candidate will have a five-year degree in electronics, embedded systems, or electromechanics with at least five years of automotive sector experience.

Must Have

• Identify customer needs
• Write functional specifications for products (systems, electronics, electromechanics)
• Monitor technical product development (quality, cost, deadlines)
• Define functional validation tests and the test plan
• Identify suitable suppliers
• Specify reliability requirements for each supplier and analyze risks
• Monitor the validation phase
• Prepare for launch and monitor production
• Work closely with the sales, marketing, purchasing, and quality teams
• Present developments from the VS technical center to customers
• Assist customers with specific technical issues
• Identify benchmark services/products on the market
• Five-year degree (engineering, master's) in electronics, embedded systems, or electromechanics
• At least five years of professional experience in the automotive sector
• Skills in product development, including a systems dimension
• Skills in writing technical specifications
• Fluent in English
• Driver's license

The teams at the Valeo Service Technical Center are currently looking to fill a vacancy for an Aftermarket Technical Development Engineer M/F, who will be responsible for managing and carrying out the technical development of after-sales products and services for distributors/repairers.

What about you ?

With a five-year degree (engineering, master's) in electronics, embedded systems, or electromechanics, you have at least five years of professional experience in the automotive sector.

You have developed skills in product development, including a systems dimension, as well as in writing technical specifications.

Recognized for your interpersonal skills and your ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, you thrive in a multicultural environment.

You are proactive, have a positive attitude, and are proactive in finding solutions.

You are fluent in English.

A driver's license is required for this position, which involves conducting vehicle tests.
