Job Description

This role involves working within a co-engineering context in a multidisciplinary team within the Architecture, Studies & Innovation Department. The position focuses on providing and supporting systems for air space management and protection, pushing technological boundaries in key sectors. Responsibilities include advanced studies for innovative functionalities, collaboration with partners, and technical contributions to product deployment offers.
Must Have:
  • Hold a Master's degree (Bac+5)
  • Experience in surveillance radars, optronic cameras (visible, IR), and servocontrol
  • Expertise in tracking algorithms (guidance preferred) and tactical communications (ground-to-ground radio, satellite)
  • Experience in mechanical (thermal, vibrations, shocks) and electromagnetic (EMC) requirements, as well as cybersecurity
  • Experience in performing system sizing calculations focused on global performance
  • Conduct advanced studies to bring additional and innovative functionalities to our flagship product
  • Collaborate with Thales partners or external partners
  • Liaise with the Product Line Architect, Sales, and Offer Department
  • Develop the technical part of offers to deploy our Short-Range product policy with clients

Your daily life

We provide and support systems for air space management and protection. We work with passion in a modern architectural framework, striving to push the boundaries of technology in our key sectors. South of Paris, our site is easily accessible by public transport.

You will work in a co-engineering context within a multidisciplinary team grouped in an Architecture, Studies & Innovation Department.

In this context, you will report to the Director of Architecture, Studies and Innovation for the Air Defense Sector of the Integrated Airspace-protection Systems Business Line.

Your responsibilities are:

  • Conducting advanced studies aimed at bringing additional and innovative functionalities to our flagship product: Range extension, support for hyper-velocity ballistic missile threats, integration of new long-range sensors
  • Collaboration with Thales partners or external partners
  • Liaison with the product line technical manager (Product Line Architect) and with the Sales and Offer Department
  • Developing the technical part of offers aimed at deploying our Short-Range product policy with our clients – Analysis of the ability to provide additional functionalities: Radio/fiber optic connectivity, integration into a command chain, integration into client-specific vehicles

Occasional travel in France and abroad is to be expected.

Your profile

You have a Master's degree (Bac+5) and experience:

  • in surveillance radars, optronic cameras (visible, IR), and servocontrol
  • Expertise in tracking algorithms (guidance preferred) and tactical communications (ground-to-ground radio, satellite)
  • in mechanical requirements (thermal, vibrations, shocks) and electromagnetic (EMC), as well as cybersecurity.
  • in performing system sizing calculations focused on global performance.
