Thales Research&Technology, our research center in hardware domains, and CortAIx Labs, our AI and digital research center, are tasked with proposing breakthrough innovations, maintaining and increasing technological lead, and ensuring competitiveness for the group.

Within CortAIx Labs, you will propose innovative technologies for Thales Group products, particularly for: satellite payloads, avionics, optronics, smart card technologies.

Your main objectives will be to: specify, refine, and formalize expected critical properties (confidentiality, integrity, real-time, availability) and to instrument hardware and software platforms to verify these properties. To do this, you will need to:

• Implement and instrument high-assurance micro-kernels,

• Develop low-level software solutions dedicated to cybersecurity (including TPM, HSM, etc.) or high-assurance systems in critical architectures, particularly for real-time.

• Understand and analyze the operation of hardware architectures, heterogeneous many/multi-core, particularly with a view to use in certified systems,

• Apply for and manage collaborative projects for which you will be responsible.

You will integrate and prototype these technological advancements in the form of safe & secure demonstrators or test benches for THALES Entities. Your work will notably be part of collaborative projects.

Finally, you will develop the collective expertise of CortAIx Labs with other members of the laboratory and other laboratories through your academic publications and patent proposals.

Do you want to work on the convergence of safety/cyber-security at the system level and in embedded systems on complex architectures?

Do you want to tackle varied business problems, and develop your own field of expertise and contribute to the laboratory's roadmap?

Do you like to put your ideas into practice by prototyping proofs of concept integrating technologies from your field of expertise?

You have an engineering degree or equivalent training and you have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of safety or cyber-security and have experience in:

• Safety or cyber-security

• Network architecture

• AI & logical foundations of computers

• Experience in critical embedded systems: C language, Linux kernel

• Knowledge of micro-kernels, assemblers, RUST, setting up test benches or knowledge of SystemVerilog are a plus

• Writing skills in English (C1 level expected) and French
