Job Summary
The Associate will help evaluate and execute infrastructure investment opportunities across energy, transportation, digital, and water/waste sectors. Responsibilities include market research, financial modeling, analysis, and overall project management. The role involves monitoring performance of key value drivers post-acquisition, conducting regular valuations, assisting with financing transactions, and tracking investment performance. The Associate will also support deal teams on new platform investments, add-ons, divestitures, and related financings, process new investment opportunities, perform diligence, build financial models, and provide hands-on support to portfolio companies.
Must Have
- Evaluate and execute infrastructure investment opportunities.
- Conduct market research, financial modeling, and analysis.
- Manage projects related to infrastructure investments.
- Monitor performance of key value drivers post-acquisition.
- Assist with ongoing financing transactions and track investment performance.
- Support deal teams on new platform investments, add-ons, divestitures, and financings.
- Process new investment opportunities from market assessment to deal structuring.
- Perform diligence efforts including business diligence and risk underwriting.
- Build robust and flexible financial models for deal underwriting and structuring.
- Provide hands-on support to portfolio companies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- One year of experience as an Investment Banking Analyst or a related role.
- Experience with analytical financial modeling and accounting.
- Proficiency in building complex financial models in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in investment banking and private equity (M&A, LBO Analysis, DCFs, etc.).
- Experience with forecasting, operating, scenario analysis, and investment underwriting.
- Experience in infrastructure advisory within the energy sector.
- Experience in project management, leading day-to-day workstreams.
- Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with tax and legal transaction structuring related to financial modeling.
- Experience in advisory due diligence focusing on commercial, financial, regulatory, capital markets, and operations improvement.

Job Duties: Help evaluate and execute infrastructure investment opportunities across the energy, transportation, digital, and water and waste sectors. Responsible for conducting market research, financial modeling and analysis, and overall project management. Work with the team on infrastructure investments following acquisitions, including monitoring performance of key value drivers, conducting valuations regularly, assisting with the execution of on-going financing transactions, and tracking general investment performance. Collaborate with and help support deal team members on aspects of new platform investments, add-on investments, divestitures and related financings. Process new investment opportunities, ranging from market assessment, to competitive positioning, to initial underwriting and deal structuring. Perform diligence efforts on pursued deals, including business diligence, risk underwriting, and managing external advisors. Build robust and flexible financial models to support deal underwriting and deal structuring efforts. Perform ad-hoc analysis to support transaction negotiations. Provide hands-on support to portfolio companies.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field and one (1) year of experience as an Investment Banking Analyst; or a related role. Must have one (1) year of experience with: Analytical financial modeling and accounting including working with financial statements and analysis; Building complex financial models in Microsoft Excel that create links with various market data feeds for strategic analysis and extrapolation; Investment banking and private equity (M&A, Leveraged Buyout Analysis, Discounted Cash Flow Analysis “DCFs”, Restructuring, Comparables Analysis, and Precedent Transaction Analysis) using publicly disclosed information, broker research, and market data vendors including Bloomberg, S&P Capital IQ, IHS Markit, and Wood Mackenzie; Forecasting including operating and scenario analysis and investment underwriting and evaluation analysis; Infrastructure advisory in energy sector; Project management including leading key day-to-day workstreams of advisory mandates and managing analysts; Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, investment banks, lawyers, and consultants; Tax and legal transaction structuring related to financial modeling and scenario analysis; and Advisory due diligence focusing on commercial, financial, regulatory, capital markets and financing, and operations improvement.

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$150,000.00 - USD$180,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
