Tekion is seeking an Associate Principal People Business Partner for its Product and Engineering teams. This strategic role involves partnering with business leaders to develop and execute People strategies aligned with company objectives. Responsibilities include employee development, relations, organizational design, succession planning, and special projects, focusing on supporting a fast-paced SaaS environment and fostering a high-performing culture.
Must Have
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with C-suite executives and business unit leaders
- Serve as a key advisor on all talent management and People matters
- Leverage advanced analytical skills and deep People knowledge to diagnose business needs
- Recommend strategic solutions and navigate complex people-related challenges
- Align People initiatives with overall business strategy
- Partner with leaders at all levels to coach and develop their people management capabilities
- Champion People transformation initiatives
- Effectively communicate changes and gain buy-in from stakeholders
- Stay abreast of emerging HR trends and best practices
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- 8-10 years of HRBP experience, preferably in a fast-paced growing SaaS company
- Experience supporting Product and Engineering
- Ability to build trust and drive team effectiveness
- Strong organization, project management, and communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Comfort with accountability and ability to absorb feedback
- Offshore experience working with India
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Willing to work 5 days a week on site in Pleasanton, CA
- Intermediate extremely proficient user of excel with ability to use and develop pivot tables, formulas and v-look ups

Job Description
The Associate Principal People Partner plays a critical strategic role in supporting the growth and success of Tekion and Tekion’s Culture. This individual will partner closely with business leaders and the Director, People Partners to develop and execute People strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives. They will be responsible for a broad range of People functions, including employee development, employee relations, organizational design, succession planning and special projects. Individual should have experience in supporting Product and Engineering business units.

- Strategic Partnership: Build trusted, long-term relationships with C-suite executives and business unit leaders, serving as a key advisor on all talent management and People matters.
- Consultative Expertise: Leverage advanced analytical skills and deep People knowledge to diagnose business needs, recommend strategic solutions, and navigate complex people-related challenges.
- Business Impact: Align People initiatives with overall business strategy, ensuring People programs directly contribute to achieving company goals.
- Leadership Development: Partner with leaders at all levels to coach and develop their people management capabilities, fostering a high-performing and engaged workforce.
- Change Champion: Champion People transformation initiatives, effectively communicating changes and gaining buy-in from stakeholders across the organization.
- Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of emerging HR trends and best practices, continuously seeking new ways to improve and add value to the organization.
Skills and Experience
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
- 8-10 years of HRBP experience, preferably in a fast-paced growing SaaS company with experience supporting Product and Engineering
- Ability to build trust and drive team effectiveness.

The salary range describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position across applicable US locations. The actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. In addition to the compensation listed, this position may be eligible for equity compensation, and/or a bonus or commission whereby total compensation may exceed base salary depending on individual or company performance. Base Salary Range
$159,500 - $238,500 USD
