Automation Tester - (Selenium, Python)

This role involves designing, developing, and executing manual and automated test cases for GenAI applications. Key responsibilities include test automation scripting using Python (PyTest) and Selenium, Rest API validation, and load testing with tools like Locust, JMeter, or k6. The candidate will test workflows across microservices, perform functional and regression testing, log defects in GitHub Issues, and participate in agile ceremonies. Requires around 2-5 years of software testing experience, with strong knowledge of Python test automation and generative AI concepts.

Must Have

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for GenAI Application features.
• Test Automation scripting using Python test automation (PyTest) or any other similar tools like selenium
• Rest API validation using postman and/or automated scripts.
• Load testing APIs and ingestion flows using Locust, JMeter or k6.
• Testing workflows across multiple microservices.
• Perform Functional Testing, Regression Testing, performance testing
• Log and track defects using GitHub Issues.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and sprint reviews.
• Ensure proper documentation and traceability of test cases and test results
• Report testing status and issues clearly to the QA Lead

Required knowledge competencies:

• Around 5 years of professional experience in software testing.
• Experience with Python test automation (PyTest)
• Working knowledge of generative AI concepts and applications
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and QA processes.
• Experience with AI/ML testing methodologies and tools, knowledge of data validation and testing techniques are preferable.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Qualifications

Educational qualification: BE/ BTech / MCA

Experience : Around 2 to 5 years of professional experience in software testing

Mandatory/requires Skills : Strong experience in test automation

Preferred Skills : Self motivated & good team player. Agile methodology
