Job Summary

Filevine is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead the strategic vision, growth, and performance of its BDR organization. This role is crucial for shaping Filevine’s revenue engine by developing a world-class pipeline function, including outbound strategy and cross-functional alignment. The ideal candidate is a seasoned builder capable of scaling teams, processes, and technology to support high growth, inspiring people, driving operational excellence, and cultivating future revenue leaders.

Must Have

  • Develop and implement a global outbound and pipeline-generation strategy aligned with sales and go-to-market objectives
  • Set long-term vision for BDR organizational structure, geographic expansion, and operational maturity
  • Build scalable systems, processes, and programs for the BDR function
  • Analyze market trends and shifts to inform strategy
  • Lead, hire, coach, and develop high-performing BDR Managers and BDR teams across multiple regions
  • Build a leadership pipeline by mentoring BDR Managers
  • Create an engaging, motivational culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, recognition, and continuous improvement
  • Drive programs that prepare BDRs for internal promotion into Account Executive roles and other revenue positions
  • Standardize global BDR playbooks, workflows, and methodologies
  • Partner with RevOps and VP to define performance metrics, KPIs, territories, and reporting frameworks
  • Optimize resource allocation, capacity planning, and forecasting
  • Identify systemic issues, develop scalable solutions, and implement process improvements
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, RevOps, and Product for seamless alignment
  • Serve as a strategic connector, bridging cross-functional teams
  • Work with Marketing on demand generation alignment, persona insights, messaging, and sequencing strategy
  • Collaborate with Sales to ensure smooth lead handoffs, qualification alignment, and opportunity conversion optimization
  • Own visibility into BDR performance and drive data-backed decisions
  • Analyze pipeline conversion rates, outreach effectiveness, KPIs, SALs, and revenue contributions
  • Leverage CRM and engagement technologies (e.g., Salesforce, Salesloft) to refine workflows, automation, and reporting
  • Present performance insights and strategic recommendations to executive leadership
  • Influence senior leaders and collaborate on GTM planning, revenue strategy, and long-term company objectives
  • Serve as a thought partner to Sales and Marketing leadership

About the Role

We’re seeking a Director of Business Development to lead the strategic vision, growth, and performance of Filevine’s BDR organization. This leader will play a key role in shaping Filevine’s revenue engine by architecting a world-class pipeline development function—from outbound strategy and execution to cross-functional alignment with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Operations.

What You'll Do

  • Strategic Leadership & Planning

Qulaifications

  • 5+ years of BDR/SDR leadership experience, including 2+ years managing global or multi-region teams.
  • Proven success building, scaling, and leading high-performing BDR organizations in high-growth SaaS environments.
  • Deep proficiency with CRM and sales engagement tools such as Salesforce and Salesloft.
  • Strong analytical, operational, and strategic planning skills with a demonstrated ability to manage through data and optimize performance.
  • Experience developing outbound strategies, playbooks, and GTM motions aligned with revenue goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop frontline managers while building scalable leadership pipelines.
  • Strong communication skills, including confident executive-level presentation and cross-functional influence.
  • Successful track record collaborating across Sales, Marketing, RevOps, and Product to drive unified GTM outcomes.

Compensation Information: $130,000 - $140,000 base

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. The total compensation package for this position will be determined by each individual’s location, qualifications, education, work experience, skills and performance. We believe in the importance of pay equity - the range listed is just one component of Filevine’s total compensation package for employees. This position is also eligible for a paid time off policy, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
