Aptiv is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to shape the future of mobility by developing advanced safety systems, electrification solutions, and data connectivity. The role involves building strong relationships with automotive industry clients, understanding their needs, and proposing tailored solutions. Responsibilities include developing strategic sales plans, identifying new business opportunities, forecasting sales, negotiating contracts, and staying updated on industry trends. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 15 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably with tier 1 suppliers, and a strong track record in managing key accounts, particularly with user experience, ADAS, and software-defined vehicle products. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are essential.

Your Role: Senior Business Development Manager

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key accounts in the automotive industry.
  • Understand client needs and objectives, and propose tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, issues, and escalations.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and collaborate with internal teams to propose solutions.
  • Forecast sales volumes, monitor performance against targets, and report on sales activities and outcomes.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and conditions with clients to ensure favorable outcomes for both parties.
  • Ensure contracts are executed accurately and in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive activities, and opportunities for growth.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, regulations, and technological advancements that may impact client accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to align sales strategies with company objectives.
  • Provide input to product development teams based on client feedback and market insights.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and account performance for management review.
  • Analyze sales data to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) and recommend corrective actions as needed.

Your Profile

  • Minimum 15 years experience in the automotive industry, ideally in tier 1 with strong track record in managing important accounts
  • Should have experience in automotive technology driven tire 1 space dealing with products involving user experience, ADAS, Software defined vehicle products.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong customer and result orientation
  • Fluent in English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) with ability to manage complex datas.
  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Team management skills and ability to take challenges continuously.
