Job Summary
The CAD Leader will be responsible for planning, directing, and leading a team of CAD engineers to achieve company goals, focusing on technical efficiency, product manufacturing costs, and project schedules/budgets. Key responsibilities include motivating team members, fostering collaboration, participating in technical proposals and cost estimates, and enforcing methodology standards. The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree, over 5 years of mechanical design experience, proficiency in CAD software (preferably Catia v5), fluent English, and strong interpersonal and communication skills with a desire to manage and mentor others.
Must Have
- Plan, direct, and lead CAD engineering team activities to achieve company goals, focusing on technical efficiency, product costs, schedules, and budgets.
- Motivate project team members for effective work, skill development, and increased responsibility.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external teams.
- Participate in preparing technical proposals, cost estimates, test specifications, status reports, technical reports, and project schedules.
- Enforce methodology and product solution standards.
- Hold an engineering or master's degree in technical studies.
- Over 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design.
- Proficiency in CAD software.
- Fluent in English.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with a desire to manage people.
- Be a team player, able to present views and concepts in group discussions.
- Able to help build team consensus when needed.
Good to Have
- Preferred fields of study: Mechanics and Machine Building, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering.
- Catia v5 software preferred.

At the Valeo plant in Czechowice-Dziedzice, we produce drive systems supporting fuel consumption reduction and lower exhaust emissions – starters, air throttles, exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valves, electromechanical actuators, and innovative electric drives.
Your tasks will include:
- Planning, directing, and leading the activities of the CAD engineering team to achieve company goals and objectives, with an emphasis on technical efficiency and product manufacturing costs, and adherence to project schedules and budgets;
- Motivating project team members for effective work, skill development, and increased responsibility;
- Interacting and communicating effectively with other teams inside and outside the organization;
- Participating in the preparation of technical proposals, cost estimates, test specifications, status reports, technical reports, and project schedules;
- Enforcing methodology and product solution standards.
The ideal candidate for this position will:
- Hold an engineer or master's degree in technical studies (preferred fields: Mechanics and Machine Building, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering);
- Have over 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design;
- Be proficient in CAD software (Catia v5 preferred);
- Be fluent in English;
- Have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and a desire to manage people. An important part of the job is also developing engineering talents and mentoring activities.
- Be a team player, able to present views and concepts in group discussions;
- Be able to help build team consensus when needed.
