Process Technician

Valeo, a global tech company in the automotive industry, is seeking a Process Technician for its Smyrna, TN location. This full-time, 3rd shift role involves troubleshooting and maintaining injection molding processes and equipment, operating overhead cranes, and collaborating on improvements. Candidates need a high school diploma/GED and 2+ years of experience in new mold set-up and identifying plastic injection defects.

Must Have

• Troubleshoot injection molding process related issues
• Operate and maintain injection molding process equipment
• Operate overhead crane
• Maintain injection process standards
• Collaborate with the injection team to identify and implement improvements
• Ability to start a robot
• High school diploma / GED
• 2+ years of experience with new mold set-up and process plastic injection mold machines
• 2+ years of experience with the identification of injection plastic defects after the manufacturing process

Position is on 3rd Shift (Sunday Night - Friday Morning; 10PM - 6:30AM, and every third Weekend)

What You Will Do

• You will troubleshoot injection molding process related issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
• You will operate and maintain injection molding process equipment
• You will operate overhead crane
• You will maintain injection process standards
• You will collaborate with the injection team to identify and implement improvements related to TRP, cycle time, and scrap.
• You have the ability to start a robot

What You Should Have

• You have a high school diploma / GED
• You have 2+ years of experience with new mold set-up and process plastic injection mold machines
• You have 2+ years of experience with the identification of injection plastic defects after the manufacturing process
