Job Summary

Job Description

Character Artist position in Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan. Responsibilities include creating 3D character models for games using software such as Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, ZBrush, and Mudbox. Experience in game development is preferred, but new graduates and those with less experience are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will possess strong artistic anatomy knowledge and proficiency in various 3D modeling and texturing software. The role involves creating high-quality character models that meet the artistic vision of the game. Additional skills in rigging, physics-based rendering, scan data correction, Substance Painter, and Marvelous Designer are desirable but not required. Full-time employment with a discretionary labor system; standard work hours begin at 10:00 am.
Must have:
  • 3D character modeling experience (Maya, 3ds Max, Blender)
  • ZBrush/Mudbox sculpting experience
  • At least one shipped game as character artist (or equivalent experience)

Eligibility

  • Those who have practical experience in creating character models for games using Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, etc.
  • Those who have practical experience in sculpting with ZBrush, Mudbox etc.
  • Game completion experience for at least one title as a character artist

For new graduates, there is no need to meet all of the eligibility requirements. 
For those with no experience in the industry, it is not necessary to meet all of the eligibility requirements, but please appeal mainly with your abilities to compensate for this. 

Desirable experiences, etc. (not required)

  • Experience in physics-based rendering environments
  • Extensive knowledge of artistic anatomy in character modelling
  • Rigging experience and knowledge
  • Experience in correcting and adjusting scan data 
  • Practical experience of using Substance Painter
  • Practical experience of using Marvelous Designer

    • Briefly specify the game titles you had the most fun playing recently and why.

[WORK HOURS] Discretionary Labor System
