Building Futures Montessori is seeking a friendly and diligent Childcare Centre Cleaner for their Wavell Heights (Brisbane north) centre. The role involves maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, ensuring a safe and inviting environment for children and families. Must Have

• Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all areas
• Report any maintenance issues
• Previous experience as a cleaner in an education (school or early childhood) or commercial setting
• Knowledge of cleaning products, safe handling, storage and disposal of chemicals (or willingness to learn)
• Ability to follow directions, policies and procedures
• Ability to work autonomously
• Strong Work Health and Safety focus
• Flexible approach and attitude
• Excellent communication skills
• Hold a Paid Blue card or be willing to obtain one

Your Role as a Centre Cleaner

As the Centre Cleaner of our Wavell Heights (Brisbane north) childcare centre, you'll play a vital role in keeping our centre clean, safe, and inviting for everyone. You'll be responsible for ensuring that all areas are spotless and hygienic, while also reporting any maintenance issues. Your keen eye for detail will help us maintain our high standards of cleanliness, and your warm, approachable nature will contribute to the welcoming atmosphere of our centre.

This position is part time, 11am to 6pm Monday to Friday. We provide all equipment and uniforms.

Who We’re Looking For

We want someone who is not just a cleaner, but a team player who cares about the environment they work in. If you have:

• Previous experience as a cleaner in an education (school or early childhood) or commercial setting (essential)
• Appropriate knowledge of cleaning products, safe handling, storage and disposal of chemicals, or willingness to learn
• Ability to follow directions, policies and procedures
• Ability to work autonomously
• Strong Work Health and Safety focus
• Flexible approach and attitude
• Excellent communication skills
• Paid Blue card or willingness to obtain (Restricted persons need not apply)
