This involves creating, simulating, and validating CNC machining programs using Siemens NX CAM for multi-axis operations, translating 3D CAD models into machining instructions, and defining cutting tools and process parameters for aerospace-grade materials. You will also conduct virtual verification, collaborate with engineering and quality teams, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Good To Have:
  • Familiarity with CMM verification workflows and digital twin integration.
  • Exposure to adaptive machining or repair engineering environments.
  • Experience with toolpath optimization, CAM automation, or PLM integration (Teamcenter).
Must Have:
  • Develop and optimize machining programs for complex gas turbine and aerospace components.
  • Create, simulate, and validate CNC machining programs using Siemens NX CAM (NX CNC) for multi-axis milling, turning, or grinding operations.
  • Translate 3D CAD models and engineering drawings into optimized, right-first-time machining instructions.
  • Define cutting tools, fixtures, and process parameters for titanium, nickel alloys, and other aerospace-grade materials.
  • Conduct virtual verification and collision checking in NX CAM prior to release to the shop floor.
  • Work with manufacturing engineers, machinists, and quality teams to achieve dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and cost targets.
  • Implement DFM / DNC / digital machining standards within the manufacturing process.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean / Six Sigma) to reduce cycle time and improve tool life.
  • Maintain accurate process documentation and configuration control of CNC programs.
  • HNC / HND / Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in CNC programming within aerospace or gas turbine manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with Siemens NX CAM (NX CNC) and strong understanding of post-processor management.
  • Solid knowledge of machining processes for turbine components (blades, casings, rotors, discs).
  • Understanding of GD&T, process capability (Cp/Cpk), and quality standards (AS9100 / NADCAP).
  • Experience with multi-axis CNC machines and advanced simulation tools.
