Job Summary

Braintrust is seeking a Commercial Account Executive to join its foundational sales team. This role involves prospecting and closing new business, identifying and nurturing opportunities with new and existing customers. The executive will be instrumental in developing the go-to-market strategy, managing the entire sales process from prospecting to negotiations, and ensuring customer retention and renewals. The ideal candidate will navigate complex sales and build trust through consultative conversations with technical teams.

Must Have

  • Develop GTM strategy and close key customer accounts
  • Meet and exceed individual quarterly and annual sales goals
  • Manage all aspects of the sales process
  • Build and own the entire sales process including customer retention and renewals
  • Navigate complex sales and win trust through consultative sales conversations with technical teams
  • 3+ years of full cycle sales experience, selling to technical audiences
  • Excellent communication skills through all channels
  • Ability to form strong working relationships
  • Drive and willingness to go deep on product for technical conversations with AI teams
  • Ready to roll up sleeves and drive impact to exceed revenue targets
  • Strong work ethic and competitive drive

About the role

We're looking for a Commercial Account Executive who will be responsible for prospecting and closing new business. You will identify, nurture, and close opportunities with both new and existing customers.

What you’ll do

  • As part of the foundational sales team, you'll help develop our GTM strategy and close key customer accounts.
  • Meet and exceed individual quarterly and annual sales goals
  • Manage all aspects of the sales process - prospecting, sales meetings, and negotiations
  • Build and own the entire sales process including engaging with potential customers, negotiating and closing contracts, customer retention, and renewals.
  • Navigate complex sales and win trust through consultative sales conversations with technical teams.

Ideal candidate credentials

  • You have 3+ years of full cycle sales experience, selling to technical audiences.
  • Excellent communication skills through all channels (in person, online, in writing) and able to form strong working relationships both in person and virtually.
  • You have the drive and willingness to go deep on our product to carry a technical conversation with AI teams.
  • You are ready to roll up your sleeves and drive impact to exceed revenue targets.
  • You have a strong worth ethic, competitive drive, and you naturally inspire and motivate those around you.
  • You have thrived in environments where things are sometimes loosely defined and may have competing priorities or deadlines.
