Job Description

Crunchyroll is seeking a Contract Technical Recruiter to scale engineering and technical teams across the APAC region. This role involves leading end-to-end recruiting for technical roles, building tailored sourcing strategies, and using metrics to analyze pipeline health. The recruiter will manage relationships with hiring managers, deliver exceptional candidate experiences, champion diversity, and drive urgency in high-priority searches. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of technical recruiting experience in fast-paced tech companies, a proven ability to source and close technical talent, and a consultative, data-driven approach.

  • Proven ability to source, assess, and close technical talent across multiple disciplines and levels of seniority.
  • Metrics-driven approach, using data to track pipeline health, measure success, and inform recruiting strategies.
  • Consultative, client-focused approach with hiring managers, building trust and influencing decisions.
  • Strong business acumen and deep knowledge of technical roles, skills, and evolving market trends in APAC.
  • Consistently deliver an exceptional candidate experience, balancing relationship-building with effective closing strategies.
  • Thrive in environments where ownership, adaptability, and urgency are critical to success.
  • Proficient in applicant tracking systems and recruiting tools.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities seamlessly.

About the role

As a Contract Technical Recruiter at Crunchyroll, you will play a pivotal role in scaling our engineering and technical teams across the APAC region. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of technical recruiting, strong experience partnering with hiring managers, and a consultative, metrics-driven approach. You will be trusted to influence hiring decisions, manage complex searches, and deliver exceptional client and candidate experiences.

You will…

  • Lead end-to-end recruiting for technical roles across APAC (e.g., Software Engineers, QA, Data, Infrastructure), acting as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and stakeholders
  • Build and execute tailored sourcing strategies, leveraging data, market research, and competitive insights to attract both active and passive technical talent
  • Use recruiting metrics to analyze pipeline health, identify bottlenecks, and provide actionable insights to hiring managers and leadership
  • Manage strong relationships with hiring managers by setting expectations, providing market intelligence, and guiding them to make timely and informed hiring decisions
  • Deliver exceptional candidate management by ensuring a transparent, engaging, and inclusive experience throughout the process, with a focus on effectively closing top talent
  • Champion diversity and inclusion by driving balanced pipelines and equitable hiring practices across all technical searches
  • Take ownership of recruiting outcomes, driving urgency, accountability, and consistency across high-priority technical searches
  • Collaborate with the recruiting team to refine processes, share best practices, and contribute to scalable recruiting operations across APAC
