DevOps Engineer

Varonis is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. The role involves ensuring reliability, security, and scalability across systems, provisioning cloud infrastructure, automating with Infrastructure as Code, managing Kubernetes, implementing secrets management, and maintaining security best practices. The engineer will also implement monitoring solutions and collaborate with multiple teams to deliver robust solutions.

Must Have

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps roles
• Strong networking fundamentals
• Security expertise
• Proficiency with Linux and Windows operating systems
• Hands-on experience with Git and version control systems
• Ability to use terminal tools for process and network troubleshooting
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform required)
• Experience with cloud providers (Azure preferred, AWS a plus)
• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices (Azure Pipelines required, GitHub Actions a plus)
• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash)
• Experience with monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Azure Application Insights, Grafana, Prometheus)

Good to Have

• Experience with configuration management tools, such as Ansible
• Programming experience (Go, Python, C#)
• Familiarity with internal vs. external ingress/egress and network security groups
• Experience with secrets management and infrastructure monitoring tools
• Experience with using AI assistants as a form of collaboration on projects (Github Copilot)
• Experience with IDP systems (Okta preferred)

The Role: We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in DevOps, strong technical skills, and a passion for automation, cloud infrastructure, and modern deployment practices. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability across our systems.

The Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps roles
• Strong networking fundamentals (subnetting, TCP ports, DNS, ingress/egress)
• Security expertise (role-based access control, network security groups, permissions, network/firewall rules, certificates)
• Proficiency with Linux and Windows operating systems
• Hands-on experience with Git and version control systems
• Ability to use terminal tools for process and network troubleshooting
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform required)
• Experience with cloud providers (Azure preferred, AWS a plus)
• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices (Azure Pipelines required, GitHub Actions a plus)

The Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for multiple teams from different business areas
• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure (Microsoft Azure preferred, AWS also valued)
• Automate infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code best practices
• Implement and maintain Kubernetes-based infrastructure, automating deployment, scaling, and monitoring of microservices to achieve high availability and resilience
• Implement and maintain secrets management
• Maintain security best practices, including role-based access control and network security groups
• Implement and maintain comprehensive monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of infrastructure and applications
• Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure robust, secure, and scalable solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues
