Platform Engineer Sr

CSG is seeking a Platform Engineer Sr to join their team remotely in Brazil. This role involves installing, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting Ascendon product solutions, as well as automating processes and participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, at least 5 years of experience in development and release processes, and expertise in AWS or other public clouds, Python, server/software management, databases (MS SQL, MySQL), Web Services (REST, SOAP), and CI/CD tools like Git and Jenkins.

Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with development and release processes
• AWS or equivalent public cloud experience
• Experience in Python
• Experience configuring, managing and upgrading servers and software
• Experience with database applications (MS SQL, MySQL)
• Experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP)
• Experience with version control, continuous integration and delivery tools (Subversion, Git, Jenkins, Artifactory or related services like Azure DevOps, Salt, AWS CodeCommit/Build/Pipelines, BitBucket or GitLab)
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)

What you will be doing:

• You will report to the Senior Manager Software Development
• Ascendon Product installation and configuration with occasional troubleshooting assistance
• You will be monitoring Ascendon solutions function and performance and suggest proactive remediation measures
• Trouble-shoot and bug-fix Ascendon solutions
• Automate and document Platform Engineer processes
• You will participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation
• Collaborate with colleagues in architecture and development groups
• Install, configure and upgrade third party products and open-source solutions
• Bi-weekly off-hour maintenance activities performed within the required maintenance window

You should have:
