Your daily life

Located 20 minutes from the Paris-Saclay technology hub, the site is one of the largest surface radar excellence centers. We contribute to developing, designing, integrating, and testing air surveillance radars dedicated to target detection and identification.

The REP (Radar Embedded Processing) competence center designs, develops, and integrates Thales radar embedded digital systems. The performance of these radars relies on these complex and demanding digital systems, which require excellent mastery of several IT and electronics professions: signal processing, real-time software, artificial intelligence, digital hardware, FPGA, cybersecurity… Our activities cover the entire system cycle:

• Digital system architecture studies: network flows, processing and filtering capacity, monitoring, and control.
• Design of specific cards for very high-speed signal processing (several terabytes / second).
• Development of real-time software on high-performance parallel machines based on DSP and X86 processors.
• Configuration and securing of operating systems and internal flows.
• Integration and qualification of the radar's digital system, before integration into the complete radar.

Attached to the Radar Embedded Processing (REP) competence center within the Surface Radar Domain (SRA), you will be in charge of a digital development batch for Ground Master radars.

By joining us as a Digital Batch Manager, you will be entrusted with the following missions:

• Lead internal development teams and subcontracting to satisfy all stakeholders (maintaining the quality of deliverables, costs, and deadlines).
• Facilitate interactions between digital, system engineering, and radar system integration, verification, validation, and qualification trades.
• Ensure communication and reporting to project managers and the competence center based on relevant indicators.
• Manage and facilitate the monitoring and resolution of anomaly reports.
• Manage the batch workload plan (identification of resource/skill needs) and the associated budget.

You will collaborate with:

• The product Processing development manager.
• The REP teams who configure the digital processing components.
• The REP teams who integrate the digital processing elements before delivery to the radar teams.
• The Chief Product Owner who prioritizes the needs of different projects.
• The engineering teams of the relevant Business Segment to understand and implement the needs.
• The radar integration teams for system fine-tuning.
• Quality for monitoring throughout development and for milestone reviews.
• The offer managers of the business segment (who interface with clients) for the preparation of quotes related to your scope.

Your profile

Do you have the ambition and desire to thrive in piloting missions in the field of systems engineering?

You have an engineering degree or equivalent (Bac+5) and at least 8 years of experience as a batch/project manager on real-time software. In addition:

• You enjoy working in a team.
• You have an attraction for lean engineering.
• You have a leadership temperament to successfully complete the projects entrusted to you.
• You are fluent in English.
