You are responsible for Apex Legends’ global connections with our players, and our potential players – supported by your management of our Social Media, Public Relations, and Core Community teams. You and your teams are the tip of the spear for activity outside of our games. You set the tone, craft the messaging, and develop innovative ways to drive awareness, excitement, and activity.
MISSION:
- Understand and connect with current and potential Apex Legends players globally
- Shine a bright light on Apex Legends; help players understand who we are, what we’re up to, and welcome them to our community
- Craft strategically thorough plans for communicating to Apex players around the franchise and key product topics on an annual basis
- Contribute to “community led” seasonal campaigns, driving bold and innovating ideas for inspiring players to engage and evangelize
- Steward the long-term, overarching narrative for Apex Legends that guides how we talk about our franchise across console, PC, mobile, competitive gaming, partnerships and more
- Consume and understand community feedback; distill and share highlights internally. As a key voice of the player - craft and champion appropriate recommendations
- Lead and manage a team of twelve, including strong, experienced talent in four verticals: Social Media, Public Relations and Core Community
- Function as a part of the Marketing Leadership team with a focus on not just what’s right for Comms but our players and our integrated efforts
- Build and maintain a strong, trust-based network of partners in-studio and around the broader organization

Your background includes:
- 10+ years of marketing / communications roles in entertainment
- A winning record of developing multi-channel strategies for driving player engagement and increased game / franchise sentiment
- A winning record of building and executing global, multi-channel campaigns
- A demonstrable track record of leading medium to large sized teams with senior level managers
- Experience in agencies, with influencer marketing, and in games (esp. shooters) all valued highly
US COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
BASE SALARY RANGES
• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):
º $170,500 - $259,300 USD Annually
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
