Side Montreal is seeking a European Spanish Localization QA Tester for video games. This on-site, full-time contract role involves proofreading and identifying language errors in Spanish from Spain, ensuring adherence to console manufacturer guidelines, writing bug reports, providing feedback, and verifying content accuracy. Candidates will be the first to test localized versions of unreleased games, contributing to unforgettable gaming experiences.
Must Have
- Native-level proficiency in European Spanish
- Strong cultural understanding of Spain
- Excellent proficiency in English
- Basic proficiency in French
- Computer literacy (Excel)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Previous experience with using different software and applications

What you’ll be doing
- Proofreading and identifying Spanish from Spain language errors
- Ensuring console manufacturer guidelines are on point
- Writing reports of all the errors/bugs you found to help improve the game
- Get your voice heard by providing feedback on the game
- Make sure the game runs smooth by identifying missing/wrong content
- Performing ad hoc translations
Requirements
What we’re looking for
- Native-level proficiency in European Spanish is mandatory, as the position requires a thorough understanding of the content within games in the European Spanish language, as specified by client requests
- Strong cultural understanding of Spain
- Excellent proficiency in English is essential, as the role involves comprehending and interpreting internal documentation from our esteemed international clients
- Exhibit basic proficiency in French to facilitate communication and collaboration when required
- Computer literacy – particularly with Excel
- Excellent attention to detail
- Previous experience with using different software and applications
