Next Comms Talk is seeking an enthusiastic Events Assistant to support corporate events, meetings, and promotional initiatives. This role is ideal for an organized and proactive individual passionate about event coordination. The assistant will work closely with the Events Manager to ensure the seamless execution of high-impact events from start to finish. Responsibilities include coordinating logistics such as venue booking, catering, and materials, assisting with on-site setup and registration, maintaining vendor relationships, tracking budgets, managing administrative tasks, and participating in post-event evaluations.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Events Assistant to support the planning and execution of corporate events, meetings, and promotional initiatives. This role is ideal for someone organized, proactive, and passionate about event coordination. The Events Assistant will work closely with the Events Manager and other team members to ensure seamless delivery of high-impact events from start to finish.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating logistics for events including venue booking, catering, materials, and transportation

  • Support on-site event setup, registration, and execution

  • Maintain vendor relationships and communicate effectively with all event partners

  • Track budgets and ensure events remain within cost parameters

  • Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling, documentation, and follow-ups

  • Participate in post-event evaluations to assess success and areas for improvement

  • Ensure brand consistency and professionalism at all touchpoints of the event

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Communications, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 1–2 years of experience in event planning or coordination preferred

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meeting tight deadlines

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to lift event materials and stand for extended periods during events
