Job Description

This Facial Animator position in Tokyo, Japan requires extensive experience in AAA game animation production. Responsibilities include creating facial animation, character rig setup, and photorealistic character modeling. Candidates must have proven experience with character creation, facial animation production, character rigs, and relevant software like Maya. Experience with scripting (Mel, Python), and motion capture solutions (Faceware, Dynamixyz) is preferred. The role involves contributing to the full animation pipeline and workflow. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in 3D animation and understands industry-standard pipelines.
Must have:
  • AAA title experience in animation production
  • AAA title experience in character rig production
  • AAA title experience in character model production
  • Experience with Facial Animation & character creation
  • Experience with character rigs and setups
  • Photorealistic character creation skills
Good to have:
  • Maya experience
  • Scripting (Mel, Python)
  • Faceware, Dynamixyz experience
  • Pipeline & workflow creation

WORK DESCRIPTION

  • Creating facial animation and character rig setup

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING

  • Previous work experience in animation production with at least one AAA title
  • Previous work experience in character rig production with at least one AAA title
  • Previous work experience in character model production with at least one AAA title
  • Experience in character creation and FacialAnimation production
  • Experience with character rigs and other setups
  • Experience creating photorealistic characters

PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRES

  • Experience using Maya
  • Experience with rig setup using scripts (Mel, Python)
  • Experience in solving using Faceware, Dynamixyz, etc.
  • Experience building pipelines and workflow for animation production

[WORK HOURS] Discretionary Labor System
Standard work hour starts at 10:00 am. Exact work hours are left to individual discretion.
