Job Summary

This Field Service Technician role at Pentair in Fort Myers, FL, involves maintaining and repairing swimming pool heat pumps for residential and commercial clients. Must Have

  • Communicate directly with customers to recommend spare parts, schedule service visits, and answer technical questions
  • Provide training to customers and maintenance personnel on operation, spare parts requirements, and safety of equipment
  • Track technical and service issues, and ensure all inquiries and issues are resolved completely, quickly, and efficiently
  • Manage the service needs of the company in terms of scheduling resources and trips to meet the demands of our customers and partners
  • Coordinate with management and other operational groups to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of service and training activities
  • EPA certificate
  • 3+ years of professional experience working in HVAC and/or equipment repair
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and twist at the waist
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist consistently throughout shift

Good to Have

  • Experience working with gas compression, refrigeration, gas recovery, and/or gas separation equipment
  • Experience working with industrial equipment for renewable energy, agricultural, brewing, dairy, and/or food and beverage
  • Experience working with technical equipment in military and/or heavy-industrial environments (e.g., oil and gas, refining, chemical)
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, analyze, and execute process corrections and improvements for installed swimming pool heat pumps

In this field-based service role, you'll play a key part in helping us meet increasing customer demands while contributing to the expansion of this dynamic area of our business.

You will:

  • Communicate directly with customers to recommend spare parts, schedule service visits, and answer technical questions.
  • Provide training to customers and maintenance personnel on operation, spare parts requirements, and safety of equipment.
  • Track technical and service issues, and ensure all inquiries and issues are resolved completely, quickly, and efficiently.
  • Manage the service needs of the company in terms of scheduling resources and trips to meet the demands of our customers and partners.
  • Coordinate with management and other operational groups (including internal and external customers) to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of service and training activities.

Key Qualifications:

  • EPA certificate is required, at a minimum.
  • 3+ years of professional experience working in HVAC and/or equipment repair.
  • Experience working with gas compression, refrigeration, gas recovery, and/or gas separation equipment is preferred.
  • Experience working with industrial equipment for renewable energy, agricultural, brewing, dairy, and/or food and beverage, as well as technical equipment in military and/or heavy-industrial (e.g., oil and gas, refining, chemical, etc.) environments will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, analyze, and execute process corrections and improvements for installed swimming pool heat pumps.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and twist at the waist.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist consistently throughout shift.

Compensation:

The hourly pay for this role is $21.00 – $24.00/hour, DOE. Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.

Shift:

  • 1st Shift: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday
  • Overtime and possible weekends if needed
