Job Summary

This role is for a Scheduling Technician at Thales' optronics center in Saint-Étienne, specializing in night vision systems and high-quality optics. The technician will manage the physical and IT logistics of the APRU Xtraim production flow, ensuring stock accuracy, overseeing production orders, and acting as a key contact for logistics, supply chain, and planning. Responsibilities also include defining and adjusting Kanban loops based on the Production Demand Plan (PDP).

Must Have

  • Manage physical and IT logistics of the APRU Xtraim production flow
  • Ensure accuracy of stocks and work-in-progress, including BR/BQ and quality clinic content
  • Perform inventories as needed
  • Guarantee the launch and follow-up of production orders (OF) and the IT stocking of products
  • Act as the privileged contact for logistics/supply chain and planning
  • Define and adjust Kanban loops based on PDP
  • Responsible for maintaining the smoothing box
  • Logistics training
  • Experience in scheduling (if possible)
  • Skills in SAP (or equivalent)
  • Skills in Lean management, pulled/smoothed continuous flow / Kanban
  • Skills in stock management and production orders
  • Skills in interaction with planning and supply chain

Your daily life

North of Saint-Etienne, our center of excellence in terrestrial combatant optronics develops and manufactures night vision systems and optical components. A historic center of the Angénieux brand, the site also specializes in very high-quality optics for the cinema industry.

  • You are responsible for managing the physical and IT logistics of the APRU Xtraim production flow,
  • You guarantee the accuracy of stocks and work-in-progress, including BR/BQ and the content of the quality clinic - To do this, you will carry out inventories as needed,
  • You are responsible for the launch and follow-up of production orders (OF) and the IT stocking of products,
  • You are the privileged contact for logistics / supply chain and planning,
  • You define and adjust Kanban loops according to the PDP. You are responsible for the proper maintenance of the smoothing box.

Your profile

Is your priority to ensure the fluidity and precision of the logistics flow within a demanding production environment?

Do you have the ambition to bring your expertise in scheduling and stock management to a dynamic team?

Do you want to discover and master Lean tools, Kanban, and ERP systems like SAP?

You have a background in logistics with experience in scheduling if possible, and have skills in:

  • SAP (or equivalent),
  • Lean management, pulled/smoothed continuous flow / Kanban,
  • Stock management and production orders,
  • Interaction with planning and the supply chain.
