Financial Analyst (Temporary position)

My Role:

• Support the payment process to suppliers at the plant by facilitating follow-up with the involved areas to avoid payment delays or supplier credit holds.
• Process and follow up on utility payment requests for submission to MTC Central Accounts Payable.
• Monthly closing process – recording of accruals and accounting entries.
• Preparation of account reconciliations
• Financial statement analysis
• Submission of government reports – INEGI, SAT, Ministry of Economy, etc.
• Invoicing and collection for services provided by APTIV companies to third parties and partners.
• Preparation and delivery of Divisional and Corporate requirements.
• Participate in the annual inventories of productive, non-productive materials, machinery, and equipment.
• Comply with Environmental, Health, Safety, Sustainability, and Energy Management requirements, and report any situation that may have an impact.
• Participate in the Near Miss and Kaizen programs.
• Comply with the training program assigned to the role.
• Maintain ethical and professional conduct in all activities performed as part of the job.
• Comply with the Internal Work Regulations and plant policies.
• Comply with customer requirements to ensure a 100% quality product.
• Fulfill the responsibilities and functions assigned according to organizational changes and/or current company needs.

My Background:

• Good verbal and written communication
• Initiative and leadership skills
• Responsible
• Public Accountant or Business Administration degree
• 80% English proficiency
• Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of SAP system
• 2 years of experience in the Finance area in a maquiladora or accounting firm
• Preferred experience in General Accounting and Taxes
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
