Job Description

As Production & Material Planner, you will be responsible for planning production, material, and resource demand across SIOP, MPS, and Production Plan horizons. You will manage forecasts and ensure on-time goods receipt and shipment by coordinating with customers, suppliers, and internal teams like Value Stream and warehouse. The role involves planning for new launches from prototype to series production and managing phase-outs, ensuring timely completion of plans and SOX compliance.
Must have:
  • Supervise, plan, and coordinate customer demand scheduling.
  • Track existing capacities for material and packaging.
  • Align production demand with Value Stream team.
  • Track progress, manage conflicts, and prepare escalation data.
  • Prepare analyses/statistics for supply chain KPIs.
  • Improve Business Process for Material- and Production Planning.
  • Ensure full SOX compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • +3 years in automotive supply chain and material management.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP (SAP) and supply chain planning tools.
  • Familiarity with data management.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Proficient in MS Office, SAP, IBP.
  • Solid understanding of production/material planning cycles (SIOP, MPS, Production Plan).
  • Strong communication skills.

Job Details

YOUR ROLE

  • As Production & Material Planner: As Planner of Production- and Material, you are responsible for planning production, material and resource (people) demand in SIOP, MPS and Production Plan horizon. You are in direct contact with customers, suppliers and intercompany IAS to manage forecasts and actual on-time receive and shipment of goods. Internally you are in contact with the Value Stream (Production) and with the warehouse to coordinate necessary activities for the timely completion of Production- and Material Management plans. You plan Production and Material in New Launches from Prototype to Series Production delivery and you plan the phase out in End of Production.

In your daily job you will:

  • Supervision, planning and coordination of customer demand scheduling
  • Track existing capacities to cover customer demand, to get purchased material and to get packaging material (one way and returnable)
  • Align production demand needs with Value Stream (Production) team to plan and assign necessary resources (people)
  • Track Progress vs Plan, manage conflict and gaps internally and externally. Prepare for escalation data and fact driven
  • Prepare analyses/statistics for supply chain KPIs (Delivery schedule achievement, safety stock, inventory, Excess & Obsolete, premium freight,…)
  • Work proactively with the local- and the global team to improve the Business Process for Material- and Production Planning.
  • Ensure in the way of working the full SOX compliance according to the Business Process Standards.

YOUR BACKGROUND

  • Bachelors degree
  • +3 years of experience in the automotive supply chain and material management
  • Strong knowledge of ERP (SAP) and supply chain planning tools
  • Familiarity with data management, affinity for handling different data formats and inputs.
  • Fluent in English
  • Proficient in MS Office, SAP, IBP (Planning Tool)
  • Solid understanding of the production- and material planning cycles, SIOP (+4 months), MPS (+13 weeks), Production Plan (+2 weeks)
  • Strong communication skills externally (with customer and supplier) and internally
