Job Description

AriensCo in Shepherdsville, Kentucky, is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their dedicated team. This role is crucial for the efficient movement and management of materials essential for outdoor power equipment manufacturing. The operator will handle raw materials and parts, operate machinery, adhere to standard work procedures, assist team members, document information, load and unload trucks, enter material movement data into the AS400 system, operate industrial trucks or pallet jacks, and ensure timely deliveries to assembly cells. The position requires effective communication, physical endurance, manual dexterity, lifting ability, PPE compliance, and teamwork.
Must Have:
  • Collaborate within a team responsible for the safe handling of materials
  • Precisely handle raw materials and parts, ensuring they are stored in designated locations
  • Proficiently operate machinery necessary to execute job tasks
  • Maintain strict adherence to established standard work procedures
  • Assist fellow team members in various areas to collectively achieve daily production targets
  • Record essential information in compliance with standard work protocols
  • Efficiently load and unload materials and units onto trucks as needed
  • Enter material movement data into the AS400 system for accurate tracking
  • Skillfully operate industrial trucks or pallet jacks to facilitate product loading and movement
  • Deliver the right parts in the correct quantities to assembly cells or work centers in a punctual manner
  • Offload incoming products and transfer them to designated storage locations
  • Provide support for set-up duties as needed to ensure smooth operations
  • Collaborate with team members across various departments to achieve daily production targets effectively
  • Effective Communication Skills
  • Capable of standing for extended periods, often exceeding 8 hours per day
  • Skilled in using hands to accurately position parts in place as required
  • Demonstrated capacity to lift objects weighing up to 35 pounds at varying frequencies
  • Strict adherence to wearing the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for safety
  • Ability to work seamlessly as part of a team, fostering a cooperative and productive work environment
  • Proven experience in the safe and proficient operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment

Shift hours: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm

The Day to Day...

  • Material Handling Expertise: Collaborate within a team responsible for the safe handling of materials essential for outdoor power equipment manufacturing.
  • Inventory Management: Precisely handle raw materials and parts, ensuring they are stored in designated locations.
  • Equipment Operation: Proficiently operate machinery necessary to execute job tasks.
  • Adherence to Standards: Maintain strict adherence to established standard work procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Team Support: Assist fellow team members in various areas to collectively achieve daily production targets.
  • Accurate Documentation: Record essential information in compliance with standard work protocols.
  • Loading and Unloading: Efficiently load and unload materials and units onto trucks as needed.
  • AS400 Data Entry: Enter material movement data into the AS400 system for accurate tracking.
  • Pallet Jack Operation: Skillfully operate industrial trucks or pallet jacks to facilitate product loading and movement.
