Front end Software Engineer

We’re hiring a Front-End Software Engineer – AI for a fully remote, contract opportunity with a leading global education and technology company. This is a 6+ month contract position.

In this role, you’ll join an agile engineering team focused on building AI-powered, scalable web applications that deliver innovative digital learning experiences to millions of users worldwide. You’ll lead the development of front-end solutions, collaborate across teams to integrate AI capabilities, and help drive best practices in accessibility, performance, and security.

Front-End Software Engineer – AI Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of AI-enabled tools and web applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities across the full stack.
• Build scalable, high-performance front-end solutions (80% front-end / 20% back-end).
• Ensure stability, performance, and quality across mission-critical applications with high uptime SLAs.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices for efficient releases.
• Maintain security best practices and compliance with data protection regulations.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to best practices within the team.
• Partner with UX and product teams to deliver accessible, user-friendly designs.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in AI and explore integration opportunities.

Front-End Software Engineer – AI Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in front-end technologies: TypeScript, Angular, React, Playwright.
• Hands-on experience with Python or Java for backend development.
• Strong Terraform experience required.
• Familiarity with AI or Copilot tools is a plus.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other databases.
• Experience using AWS, Docker, GitHub, CircleCI, and Terraform.
• Familiarity with collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Zoom, and Slack.
• Proven ability to deliver reliable, high-quality software in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience developing AI-powered enterprise solutions (preferred).
• Understanding of Azure AI Search, OpenAI Service, or Amazon Bedrock (preferred).
• Experience designing APIs for interoperability and ease of use (preferred).
• Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams (preferred).
• Demonstrated empathy for users and a focus on delivering value-driven solutions (preferred).
