Dr. Jason Stoner leads a team of professional periodontists in Ohio, providing quality, patient-centered care. This role as a Front Office Assistant/Surgery Scheduler is crucial for creating the first and last impressions on patients, ensuring smooth office operations, and delivering best-in-class patient care. Responsibilities include scheduling, insurance verification, financial coordination, and patient assistance.

Must Have

  • Build and maintain productive schedules for doctors and hygienists
  • Verify insurance coverage and fee schedules; complete full insurance breakdowns
  • Complete pre-authorizations and referrals; gather necessary information for claim processing
  • Coordinate financial agreements and consent forms for patient's financial responsibility
  • Assist patients with understanding their treatment plan and increase dental case acceptance
  • Assist with patient check-in, registration, and maintain patient health and dental records
  • Ensure efficient office operations, including mail, scheduling, phone calls, billing inquiries, and workflow direction

No two situations are ever treated the same at the practice, which ensures the outcome of each treatment to be top quality and patient-centered. The oral health and wellness of each patient is the number one goal at the practice. Although we aim to aesthetically please every single patient, we are always quick to instill good dental hygiene practice tips for home life. Good oral hygiene stimulates and ensures good health and prevents the spread of bacteria, which can cause negative effects such as loss of teeth down the line.

Compensation: $22-24/Hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain productive schedules for our doctors and hygienists
  • Verify insurance coverage and fee schedules while completing full insurance breakdowns for patients
  • Complete pre-authorizations and referrals as appropriate for patients; gather all necessary information for claim processing
  • Coordinate financial agreements and consent forms for the patient's financial responsibility of dental treatment
  • Assist patients with understanding their treatment plan and increase dental case acceptance
  • Assist with patient check-in, registration, and maintain patient health and dental records with strong attention to detail and adherence to HIPAA Privacy Practices
  • Ensure efficient office operations, including distribution/response to mail, scheduling, answering and returning of phone calls, responding to patient billing inquiries, and direction of workflow as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Customer service experience
  • Dental office experienced (preferred)

Working Environment & Physical Requirements

Working conditions include those typically seen in an office environment. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
