General Manager

Stannah is seeking a General Manager for Global Upholstery Solutions Ltd and 3D Ply Ltd, part of the Stannah Group, across multiple manufacturing sites including Andover and Blandford. This role involves providing strategic leadership and operational direction, ensuring commercial performance, product quality, safety, and profitable growth. The General Manager will oversee operations, people leadership, financial performance, and customer engagement, driving continuous improvement and alignment with Group strategy.

Must Have

• Previous experience in senior leadership with responsibility for multi-site operations and P&L management
• Strong commercial acumen with direct P&L responsibility and a track record of delivering results
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to operate confidently at board level
• A hands-on leadership style with the ability to build trust and unity within a multi-site team
• A degree or equivalent in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business

Good to Have

• Experience within the furniture or associated manufacturing industries
• Relevant health & safety qualifications such as IOSH certification

Job Description

Stannah have an exciting opportunity for a General Manager to join Global Upholstery Solutions Ltd and 3D Ply Ltd, part of the Stannah Group, based across multiple manufacturing sites, including Andover and Blandford.

This job will involve providing strategic leadership and operational direction across both businesses, ensuring commercial performance, product quality, safety, and profitable growth. You will oversee all aspects of operations, people leadership, financial performance, and customer engagement while driving continuous improvement and alignment with Group strategy.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced senior leader with strong operational and commercial expertise, ideally from the furniture, upholstery, or related manufacturing industries. You will play a key role in shaping the long-term success of both companies while leading high-performing teams and ensuring operational excellence.

To be successful as the General Manager, it is essential that you have previous experience in senior leadership with responsibility for multi-site operations and P&L management. Experience within the furniture or associated industries, and relevant health & safety qualifications such as IOSH, would be desirable.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead from the front: Oversee all aspects of operations across two sites, ensuring commercial success, product safety & quality, and health & safety.
• Represent the business with professionalism and confidence to customers, stakeholders, and at industry events.
• Drive strategy and performance: Set and execute business strategies aligned with group objectives, focusing on profitability, sustainability, and innovation.
• Inspire a close-knit team: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing leadership team across both sites, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Champion customer relationships: Strengthen partnerships with key clients and suppliers, ensuring satisfaction and long-term value.

Qualifications
