Job Description

Apple's ATG-Packaging group is seeking a senior process engineer to develop innovative module assembly solutions for new products like iPhone, Watch, and Accessories. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and equipment suppliers to develop and deploy new modules to mass production. The ideal candidate will be creative in solving complex problems and have experience in high-volume manufacturing, providing robust leadership in process, materials, and equipment.
Good To Have:
  • Familiarity with Laser systems and laser material joining and processing, molding, large panel lamination, and process integration.
  • Curiosity and creativity in problem solving.
Must Have:
  • Work as the key module process engineer supporting sophisticated, high-volume modules for iPhone, Watch, and Accessories.
  • Provide robust leadership in the areas of module assembly process, materials, equipment.
  • Work with factory partners to develop MP intent equipment, materials, and process.
  • Provide communication and program phase reviews to senior management.
  • Ability to travel internationally (10-15%) to factory partner sites.
  • BS and 10+ years of relevant industry experience OR MS or Ph.D. and 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proven fundamentals in the materials, high-precision mechanics, and automated equipment.
  • In-depth knowledge of adhesive technology, manufacturing process, process design rules.
  • Hands-on experience in the development of adhesive bonding, material understanding, and automated equipment for ultrahigh-volume manufacturing.
  • Exceptional technology development & project management skills.
