The HR Generalist (Compliance) will manage comprehensive HR operations with a focus on labor relations and employment dispute resolution. Responsibilities include administering compensation and benefits, developing HR policies, conducting training, and maintaining employee records. The role also involves resolving employee grievances, managing employment litigation, and advising on labor law compliance. This position requires expert knowledge of Malaysia labor laws, and excellent communication skills in Malay and English. The job is with Xsolla, a global leader in video game commerce.
Must Have:
- 5+ years of HR generalist experience, minimum 2 years in labor relations
- Expert knowledge of Malaysia labor laws and dispute resolution procedures
- Bachelor's degree in HR Management or a related field.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, strong mediation, and negotiation skills.
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist with 5+ years of progressive experience to manage comprehensive HR operations with a strong focus on labor relations and employment dispute resolution. The ideal candidate will ensure legal compliance, foster positive employee relations, and contribute to organizational success through effective HR practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- **Core HR Operations:**
- Administer compensation & benefits programs, payroll coordination, and HR analytics reporting
- Develop/update HR policies in compliance with local labor laws and regulations
- Conduct employee training sessions on HR policies, compliance, and workplace ethics
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data management
- Other general HR tasks
- **Labor Relations & Dispute Resolution:**
- Serve as primary contact for labor relations matters
- Investigate and resolve complex employee grievances and workplace conflicts
- Manage employment litigation processes including document preparation, evidence collection, and court representation coordination
- Advise management on labor law compliance and risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with legal counsel on employment-related lawsuits and mediation proceedings
- **Employee Relations:**
- Provide guidance on employee relations issues including disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze turnover trends
- Promote positive workplace culture through employee engagement initiatives
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of proven HR generalist experience with minimum 2 years in labor relations
- Expert knowledge of Malaysia labor laws, employment regulations, and dispute resolution procedures
- Successful track record in handling employment litigation cases
- Proficiency in HRIS systems- Strong mediation and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) in Malay & English
