Job Description

This role involves coordinating and administering insurance-related services for corporate superannuation clients, employers, members, and beneficiaries. Key responsibilities include managing end-to-end insurance application and underwriting processes, preparing and submitting claims documentation, and overseeing the full lifecycle of insurance claims. The specialist will also provide empathetic support to vulnerable clients, contribute to continuous improvement, and monitor inquiries. Candidates should have 2-3 years of experience in the insurance and superannuation industry, particularly in claims or underwriting administration, and possess knowledge of Superannuation & legislation, along with basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
Good To Have:
  • Experience in the administration of superannuation funds.
  • RG146 certification.
Must Have:
  • Understand and ensure compliance obligations, raise concerns, highlight risks, and complete mandatory training.
  • Responsible for coordinating & administering insurance related services to corporate superannuation clients and employers, members and beneficiaries.
  • Manage end-to-end insurance application and underwriting lodgement processes, including communication of insurer decisions and updates to member accounts.
  • Prepare and submit claims documentation, follow up on outstanding requirements, and coordinate referrals to the trustee services team.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of insurance claims, ensuring effective communication and coordination with insurers, clients, claimants, members, beneficiaries, and their representatives.
  • Provide empathetic and compassionate support to vulnerable clients, ensuring their needs are met with care and professionalism.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by capturing data, enhancing processes, and sharing knowledge to improve system capabilities.
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries via the insurance phone line / Help Hub Chat, including participation in early morning and late shift rosters as required.
  • Uphold and promote SS&C’s Core Values of Accountability, Respect, Innovation, Focus, and Community in all aspects of service delivery.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in the insurance and superannuation industry, specifically in claims and/or underwriting administration.
  • Knowledge of Superannuation & legislation relating to insurance.

What You Will Get To Do:

What You Will Bring:
