Intelligent Automation Intern - 2026 Summer Internship

Nasdaq’s Internship Program is a 10-week summer experience designed to give students real exposure to how global markets and technology come together. Interns work on meaningful projects alongside Nasdaq teams, gaining hands-on skills that make an impact on the business. The program provides a supportive, engaging, and fun environment where work feels valued and growth comes first. In this role, you’ll support the Finance Organization and gain hands-on experience with cutting edge automation technologies to deliver automated solutions leveraging GenAI, from invoice processing to financial reporting.

Must Have

• Support Intelligent Automation team with day-to-day tasks.
• Contribute to ongoing initiatives.
• Learn to design, develop, and deploy end-to-end automation solutions.
• Deliver AI-based solutions that enhance decision making and drive operational efficiency.
• Develop and implement components of Generative AI solutions and traditional automations.
• Collaborate with teammates across different functions and regions.
• Bring ideas and curiosity to problem-solving and project work.
• Develop technical and professional skills through training and mentorship.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Mathematics or related field.
• Coursework in data analysis, process improvement, or technology applications.
• Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and take on new challenges.
• Ability to work well with others and contribute to a team environment.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Curiosity about technology, finance, and global markets.
• Basic skills in Excel.
• Basic skills in SQL or database querying.
• Familiarity with at least one programming language (Python, VBA, or similar).
• Demonstrated interest in automation technologies and process optimization.

Good to Have

• Internship or project experience related to Intelligent Automation, Process Improvement or similar field.
• Involvement in student organizations, volunteering, or leadership roles.
• Familiarity with Generative AI concepts, including Large Language Models (LLMs) and their applications, RAG, vectorization, etc.
• Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
• Experience with programming languages.
• Experience with web-scraping.
• Experience with LLM fine-tuning.

At Nasdaq, you’ll have the chance to start your career in an environment where learning, teamwork, and innovation come first. What You’ll Do

• Support Intelligent Automation team with day-to-day tasks and contribute to ongoing initiatives.

What You’ll Bring

This position will be located in New York City and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
