Job Description

Vertex Inc. is seeking an ambitious and high-energy intern to support the company’s Professional Services Organization. This role involves working directly with the Professional Services Project Management Office and Client Engagement Specialists. Responsibilities include assisting in research and data analysis for Consulting Practices, supporting overall management reporting analysis and development, coordinating data and feedback, and standardizing documents. The intern should be organized and prepared for a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.

Job Summary:

Vertex Inc. is seeking an ambitious and high-energy intern to support the company’s Professional Services Organization. You will work directly with the Professional Services Project Management Office and Client Engagement Specialists to assist in research and data analysis to support the Consulting Practices. The intern hired will help with overall management reporting analysis and development, coordination of data and feedback from the consulting practices, and document standardization. The intern should be organized and prepared to work in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with testing of new reports generated from Workday, Salesforce & PowerBI
  • Assist with cleaning up of data currently in Salesforce, by following up with Practice Leaders and Client Engagement Specialists
  • Review certain dashboard data and research how this compares to other consulting organizations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability and willingness to review data and check for accuracy
  • Ability to write and follow through on instructions of documenting process steps
  • Ability and desire to learn new software systems (no prior experience needed, there will be training provided by VC)
  • No prior experience needed
  • Ability to think on their feet
  • Experience with Workday and Salesforce will be helpful

ELIGIBILITY:

  • Junior or Senior Undergraduate student (graduating in December 2026 or later) majoring in Business, Mass Communications, Sales, Marketing, or related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Positive, professional individual with a desire to learn and be successful in business development and Sales
  • Highly organized and a self-starter
  • Strong ability to be flexible and multi-task
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, LinkedIn Sales Nav a plus

Pay Transparency Statement:

US Base Salary Range: $22.00 - $24.00

Base pay offered to new hires may vary based upon factors including relevant industry and job-related skills and experience, geographic location, and business needs.* The range displayed does not encompass the full potential of the role, which allows for further growth and career progression.

In addition, as a part of our total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Vertex Bonus Plan (VOB), a role-specific sales commission/bonus, and/or equity grants.
