Job Description

Thales is seeking an upper-year student for a four to six months’ Intern – Trainer (Cybersecurity) role. This position involves research and development in an OT lab environment and supporting Cyber Security training delivery. It offers a hands-on opportunity to gain experience with lab and cyber range environments, working alongside experienced professionals, and contributing to innovative solutions in OT and Cyber Security.
Must have:
  • Assist in research and development activities within the OT lab environment.
  • Support the delivery of cyber security training sessions.
  • Utilize the cyber range environment to test and validate security measures.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop innovative solutions in OT and Cyber Security.
  • Upper-year student currently enrolled in a relevant program (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Cyber Security).
  • Strong understanding of Operational Technology and Cyber Security concepts.
  • Understanding of OT protocols and their vulnerabilities.
  • Experience with network security, system hardening, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

The reference Total Target Compensation(TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is between

Total Target Cash (TTC): 58,296.92 - 78,041.67 - 96,633.96 CAD Annual

This reflects how companies in a similar industry and geographic region generally pay for similar jobs. This range helps the Company make pay decisions as one data point among many. Where a position falls within this range is also dependent on other factors including – but not limited to – the employee’s career path history, competencies, skills, and performance, as well as the company’s annual salary budget, the customer’s program requirements, and the company’s internal equity. Thales may offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s status protected by local, state, or federal law.
