Job Description

Located in Cholet, France, between Nantes and Angers, this 6-month internship within the Information Technology Security domain involves joining the Cybersecurity Management Software laboratory. The intern will contribute to enhancing cybersecurity software components used in various Thales projects, focusing on improving tools for key management, certificate management, and software protection. This includes specializing the FAGUS component for UEFI protection and implementing a 'counter' mode for unitary signing or encryption operations. The intern will participate in specification, design, development, unit testing, integration, and software validation phases using Agile/Kanban methodology. This role offers the opportunity to learn best practices in cybersecurity software development and testing within virtualized development environments.
Good To Have:
  • Knowledge of UX design, graphic design, and ergonomics.
  • Notions of development in a containerized environment (Docker, Linux VM).
  • Familiarity with the Open Source world.
  • Bases in Agile methods.
Must Have:
  • Be in the final year of an engineering school or equivalent in computer science specializing in cybersecurity.

Your daily life

Between Nantes and Angers, close to the Atlantic coast, our Cholet site, predominantly R&D with a strong industrial footprint, specializes in defense radio communications, satellite communication systems, and cybersecurity solutions.

6-month internship located in Cholet (49)

Within the Information Technology Security domain, you will join the Cybersecurity Management Software laboratory, specialized in the development of management infrastructure applications, such as equipment fleet management and remote administration.

You will contribute to the enrichment of cybersecurity software components used in several Thales projects.

Your mission consists of participating in the improvement of the range of cybersecurity tools used on various projects. You will design and develop key management systems, certificate management systems, and software protection. The main improvements to be carried out in this context are:

  • The specialization of the FAGUS component to integrate UEFI protection, with the generation of necessary elements
  • The implementation of a "counter" mode without storage allowing unitary signing or encryption operations

After an initial familiarization, you will participate in the specification, design, development, unit testing, integration, and software validation phases, according to the Agile/Kanban methodology.

Your profile:

You are in your final year of engineering school or equivalent in computer science specializing in cybersecurity and are looking for a 6-month internship?

Do you have skills in Java (JavaFx), C++, and Linux environment?

Ideally, do you have knowledge of UX design, graphic design, and ergonomics?

Do you have notions of development in a containerized environment (docker, Linux VM)?

Is the world of Open Source not unknown to you?

Do you have bases in Agile methods?
