This internship offers the opportunity to learn about the most advanced Digital Design and Verification methodology, improve your knowledge on System HW/SW co-design, HDL languages and get in touch with the most advanced design and verification environments offered by the EDA industry. Additionally you will also learn or improve your knowledge on Digital Signal Processing design and verification techniques, working in the context of NFC Modem development.
Good To Have:
  • Knowledge of C and Python languages
  • Knowledge of RISC-V ISA
Must Have:
  • Analyze and understand the tasks assigned to you by your mentor
  • Prepare an implementation proposal and review it with your mentor
  • Implement the requested tasks, adopting an incremental test and release approach
  • Keep the work database well-versioned and documented
  • Generate documentation, where and when necessary
  • Ongoing studies in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Informatics or similar
  • Basic knowledge of DSP concepts and tools (Matlab, Numpy, etc)
  • Basic knowledge of Linux OS and/or bash/tcsh scripting
  • Basic knowledge of Verilog or VHDL
  • Basic knowledge of Version Control Systems (e.g. SVN, GIT)
  • Solid English skills (speaking and writing)
  • Autonomous, reliable, team-oriented and self-driven working style
  • Available on site at least 16 hours/week

Please note: The successful candidate may/will be responsible for security related tasks. The assignment may/will be in scope of security certifications, therefore a conscious and reliable way of working is necessary.

The minimum salary for this position is EUR 2.370- gross/month for full-time equivalent at NXP Austria.
