Our client is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Technician III for a long-term contract opportunity to support supply chain operations at a client location. This role requires a hands-on professional with deep experience in Lawson supply chain systems, who can manage complex inventory workflows, coordinate with clinical staff, and ensure the integrity of supply operations across multiple departments. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced hospital environment, excels at communication, and brings both technical proficiency and operational insight to the table.

Must Have

  • Perform and oversee all aspects of inventory control, including receiving, stocking, replenishment, and cycle counting.
  • Maintain perpetual inventory accuracy using Lawson.
  • Conduct regular audits and participate in the annual physical inventory process.
  • Serve as a liaison between Supply Chain, Clinical, and Purchasing teams to resolve product or backorder issues.
  • Support product conversions, vendor returns, and invoice resolution.
  • Coordinate and document product trials and ensure compliance with supply contracts.
  • Provide data and insight to support forecasting, cost reduction, and utilization initiatives.
  • Train or mentor new staff on inventory control procedures and handheld technology systems.
  • Lawson Supply Chain System experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain operations within a hospital setting.
  • Proficient in handheld or mobile inventory management technology.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills; must be comfortable engaging with clinicians and physicians.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and follow-up abilities.
  • Ability to work fully on-site in Auburn, CA.

  • Workday experience.
  • Prior experience supporting Workday testing or implementation.
  • Experience at a healthcare or hospital system within the supply chain function.
  • Familiarity with Lean or process-improvement initiatives.

This role requires a hands-on professional with deep experience in Lawson supply chain systems and, ideally, Workday, who can manage complex inventory workflows, coordinate with clinical staff, and ensure the integrity of supply operations across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and oversee all aspects of inventory control, including receiving, stocking, replenishment, and cycle counting.
  • Maintain perpetual inventory accuracy using Lawson (required) and support integration or testing within Workday (preferred).
  • Conduct regular audits and participate in the annual physical inventory process.
  • Serve as a liaison between Supply Chain, Clinical, and Purchasing teams to resolve product or backorder issues.
  • Support product conversions, vendor returns, and invoice resolution.
  • Coordinate and document product trials and ensure compliance with supply contracts.
