Job Summary
The eBay Global Focus Categories team, specifically the Collectibles Native Engineering team, is dedicated to delivering stellar buying and selling experiences for primary business categories. As an iOS Software Engineer, you will collaborate across multiple domain teams such as Search, View Item, Checkout, and Selling, working on initiatives with other native developers in an agile workflow. You will directly engage with Product, Design, and Analytics teams to create the best user experience for eBay's platform.
Must Have
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance iOS applications.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to improve development efficiency.
- Use AI-powered development tools to enhance productivity and learn modern coding practices.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Strengthen your expertise in iOS architecture, design patterns, and performance optimization.
- Work with back-end services teams to design services contracts optimized for mobile solutions.
- Work with Agile/Scrum methodologies providing estimates of engineering efforts, identification of risks, guiding the planning of implementation and rollout of system changes with implications for multi-functional teams.
- 2+ years professional experience in iOS native development, or a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Good understanding of Swift and object-oriented programming principles.
- Familiarity with UIKit, SwiftUI, and mobile app development fundamentals.
- Experience with unit, integration and functional UI testing, including XCTest and XCUITest.
- Experience with modern, clean architecture patterns such as MVVM+Coordinators, and deep familiarity with SOLID principles.
- Experience working on multi-module applications.
- Familiarity with RESTful and GraphQL APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Good to Have
- Previous iOS app development experience through internships or personal projects.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools.

The Team
The eBay Global Focus Categories team is dedicated to delivering stellar buying and selling experiences for our primary business categories: Parts & Accessories, Vehicles, Fashion, Collectibles, Electronics, Home Improvement.
The Collectibles Native Engineering team is responsible for supporting and implementing all collectibles-specific features in the eBay mobile app. Trading Cards, Coins, Stamps, Sports, Comic Books, Memorabilia are some of the categories we support. We are here to make a collector’s experience one that connects our buyer and seller community through their passion. The Role

What you will bring

- Good understanding of Swift and object-oriented programming principles.
- Familiarity with UIKit, SwiftUI, and mobile app development fundamentals.
- Experience with unit, integration and functional UI testing, including experience with testing frameworks like XCTest and XCUITest
- Experience with modern, clean architecture patterns such as MVVM+Coordinators, and deep familiarity with SOLID principles
- Experience working on multi-module applications
- Familiarity with RESTful and GraphQL APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services.

- Bonus: previous iOS app development experience through internships or personal projects, and familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools.
The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
$78,400 - $139,400
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
