Job Description

Neostella is seeking an IT Support Technician to join its fast-paced, growing startup environment. This customer-centric role involves serving as the first point of contact for employees needing technical assistance with computer hardware and software. The technician will provide break-fix support, manage incident tickets, and assist with installations and configurations, ensuring efficient resolution of technology-related problems to help clients leverage hyperautomation.

Must Have:

  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of personal computer software and hardware
  • Maintain an accurate service repair history through TopDesk incident management system tickets
  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers
  • Document, track, and monitor incidents using applicable systems and tools
  • Keep an up-to-date knowledge of all computer hardware and software
  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in IT support

The ideal candidate will be responsible for serving as the first contact with employees and provide support for those who need technical assistance of various computer hardware & software. Key Responsibilities:

  • IT Support functions as a center for reporting technology-related problems, performing initial problem investigation and information gathering, and works as a liaison to the rest of the IT support staff.
  • Provides break-fix end-user support, working with product manufacturers as needed (such as Lenovo, Dell or Apple).
  • Support is provided via phone, online chat, email, face to face, and video calls.
  • This first-level IT Support role is expected to pass on to Senior IT Support Technicians any issues which cannot resolve in a timely manner.
  • Assists with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of personal computer software and hardware (including printers, scanners, mobile devices, and other peripheral devices)
  • Maintains an accurate service repair history through the creation of TopDesk incident management system tickets, including the documenting of work history and proper issue resolution.
  • Determines the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers.
  • Documents, tracks, and monitors incidents using applicable systems and tools.
  • Assists in the implementation, testing and training of new releases of supported software, including custom-developed applications.
  • Monitors system capacity and performance and reports any problems discovered.
  • The incumbent has contact with all the departments of the company in resolving computer-related problems. Outside the organization, the incumbent must consult vendors on technical aspects of software and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Identifies process improvement opportunities within the department and/or participates in companywide efforts.
  • May be responsible for identifying and upon project assignment, researching, recommending and implementing new technologies that provide business value to the organization.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree with an emphasis in IT or Business preferred.
  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • ITIL certification a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of computer systems and mobile devices
  • Customer-oriented and patient
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must keep an up-to-date knowledge of all computer hardware and software
  • This position requires continual re-education and training to keep up with technological changes in hardware and software within the data processing industry
  • This individual must keep an up-to-date knowledge of all computer hardware and software in use by the company and its representatives
