Job Description

Dynamis is seeking a Junior Technical Editor to support a government client. This remote/hybrid role in Huntsville, AL, requires 25% travel. Responsibilities include advising authors, editing for grammar, clarity, style, and 508 compliance, consulting on design, managing emails, and ensuring document adherence to client guidelines. Requirements include U.S. Citizenship, a BA/BS degree (English/Journalism preferred), and 0-3 years of technical writing/editing experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Must Have:
  • Advising and assisting authors during the writing stage
  • Examining the organization, length, and tone of the material
  • Editing the text for grammar, clarity, syntax, format, style, and 508 compliance
  • Consulting on design and graphics
  • Monitoring, managing, and forwarding emails for the program's shared email box
  • Ensuring that documents meet client requirements and guidelines
  • Assisting in the preparation of material for printing
  • U.S. Citizenship to obtain and maintain DHS Suitability
  • BA or BS degree, preferably in English or Journalism
  • 0-3 years of experience conducting technical writing/editing
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • Must be able to work on multiple taskers concurrently
