Job Summary

This role involves performing accounting and reporting for Fixed Assets and Intangibles within the Financial Accounting & Close team. Responsibilities include capitalization, transfer, and disposal of assets, depreciation accounting, generating monthly Fixed Assets Registers, and preparing reconciliations. The incumbent will also handle email queries from customers and business partners, requiring strong accounting knowledge, communication, and analytical skills, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

Must Have

  • Perform Fixed Assets and Intangibles accounting and reporting
  • Manage asset capitalization, transfer, and disposal
  • Execute month-end close activities and reporting
  • Prepare and reconcile financial statements
  • Handle depreciation accounting and trending
  • Support audit and compliance efforts
  • Possess sound US GAAP accounting knowledge
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exhibit problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Maintain focus on accuracy, control, and compliance
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in commerce/finance (CA/CMA preferred)
  • Proficiency in Advance Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Oracle

Good to Have

  • Understanding of AMEX businesses

Purpose of the Role:

  • To Perform Accounting & Reporting of Fixed Assets and Intangibles

Function Description:

  • The individual will be part of Fixed Assets process in Financial Accounting & Close team.
  • The incumbent shall be required to perform processing and accounting activities for Fixed assets & intangibles e.g. capitalization, transfer and disposal of assets, perform depreciation accounting and generate Fixed Assets Register on monthly basis
  • The incumbent will be responsible for preparing reconciliations
  • The candidate will be required to handle the e-mail queries received on FA shared mailbox and provide appropriate responses to the customers / stakeholders
  • The incumbent shall be required to maintain close contact with customers / business partners
  • Should have sound accounting knowledge and understanding of US GAAP
  • Strong inter-personal skills and communication skills. Demonstrate problem solving skills
  • The incumbent should have focus on Accuracy, control & compliance
  • The candidate should have strong analytical skills
  • The successful candidate should be flexible & result oriented.
  • Good Understanding of AMEX businesses, AMEX systems will be an advantage

  • Good Accounting Knowledge & Communication Skills
  • Past Experience: 2 to 3 Years
  • Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree in commerce/finance. CA (Inter)/ CMA preferred
  • Functional Skills/Capabilities: Accounting Background
  • Technical Skills/Capabilities: Advance Excel, Data Analytics tools e.g. Tableau, Power BI
  • Knowledge of Platforms: Oracle
