Job Summary

The Lead Manufacturing Engineer (Digital Transformation) defines the digital transformation roadmap, leads and executes digital transformation initiatives within Philips factory. This role involves collaborating with internal and external partners, scouting new technologies, and managing competence in digital technology. The engineer will also initiate and execute improvement projects linked to manufacturing processes, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, cost, regulatory, and environmental requirements.

Must Have

  • Define manufacturing technology and digital transformation roadmap
  • Lead and/or execute digital transformation projects
  • Collaborate to initiate and execute improvement projects linked to manufacturing processes and operation
  • Collaborate with technology development partners (internal & external) to trial and industrialize I4.0 technologies
  • Manage competence and provide training/deployment for digital technology
  • Execute processes with embedded quality into the way of working with adherence to safety, cost regulatory and environmental requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering/computer science or mechanical engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Manufacturing/Operations environment, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Production Engineering, or Cost Engineering

Good to Have

  • Ability to translate factory business processes into digital solutions to minimize resources and time usage
  • Ability to develop digital solutions that are able to brings visualization for critical metrics to allows factory management for speedy and timely reviews and corrective actions
  • Ability to develop AI based solutions for What-If scenarios analyze
  • To simulate factory operations for scenarios as management tools for operations improvements
  • Ability to develop dashboards modules that allow management and line leaders manage factory performance and lead timely corrective actions
  • Ability to lead Future Factory solutions in i4.0 concepts and SIRI requirements
  • Ability to apply LEAN manufacturing principle for factory digitalization

Job Description

Job title:

The Lead Manufacturing Engineer (Digital Transformation) is to define digital transformation roadmap, lead/execute digital transformation initiatives in Philips factory by collaborating with internal & external partners.

Your role:

  • Defines manufacturing technology and digital transformation roadmap including technology scouting, strategy, and programming
  • Leads and/or executes digital transformation projects
  • Collaborate to initiate and execute improvement projects linked to manufacturing processes and operation
  • Collaborate with technology development partners (internal & external) to trial and industrialize I4.0 technologies
  • Manage competence and provide training/deployment for digital technology
  • Executes the processes with embedded quality into the way of working with adherence to safety, cost regulatory and environmental requirements as well as local laws, Philips General Business principles and other policies.

Minimum required Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer engineering/computer science, Mechanical engineering

Minimum required Experience:

Minimum 2 years of experience in Manufacturing/Operations environment, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Production Engineering, or Cost Engineering

Preferred Skills:

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.

Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

This is onsite role.

Travel to Batam required (~40%)
