Job Description
We are looking for a Lead/Senior Gameplay Programmer to join our team in Warsaw. The responsibilities include close collaboration with designers, artists, and other programmers, implementing gameplay functionalities using Unreal Engine 5, researching new technologies, and contributing to overall game design. The role involves maintaining an AI framework, planning implementation scope, and mentoring other programmers, especially for the Lead position. The ideal candidate should have advanced C++ skills, proficiency in Unreal Engine 5, knowledge of 3C, and AI implementation experience. Effective communication and teamwork are crucial. A strong understanding of the game development pipeline is essential.

- Advanced knowledge of 3C, including physics and animations
- AI implementation experience
- At least 4 years of experience in gameplay programming
- Effective communication skills and teamwork
- English Language B2/C1

We seek a Lead/Senior Gameplay Programmer for Mighty Koi - Warsaw. If you are an experienced, motivated person and a strong team player who wants to create games that will stand out on the market with Mighty Koi, send us your CV.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with all creative departments; designers, artists, and other programmers
- Implement gameplay functionalities (systems, mechanics and so forth) in accordance with Game Design Documents; Iterative and incremental development
- Research to gain new knowledge necessary to perform assigned tasks and maintain a process of technological evolution; always seek the most optimal solutions
- Contribute to the overall game design and come up with solutions to implement it
- Maintain an AI framework for challenging AI problems and elaborate design goals
- Plan out systemic implementation scope of work along with the Design Lead and distribute work within your department (for Lead position)
- Plan out the code architecture that will act as a framework for the code team (for Lead position)
- Mentor other programmers that are part of the studio (for Lead position)
- Maintain clear and cohesive documentation for the design team
Requirements
- Advanced C++ programming skills
- Proficiency with Unreal Engine 5 (Blueprints)
- Advanced knowledge of 3C, including physics and animations
- AI implementation experience
- At least 4 years of experience in systemic gameplay programming and at least one shipped title / At least 6 years of experience in systemic gameplay programming and at least one shipped AA+/AAA title (for Lead position)
- Strong understanding of the game development pipeline (for Lead position)
- Effective communication skills and teamwork
- English Language B2/C1
