  • Build compelling cinematic lighting setups that are true to the narrative intent and present an immersive visual experience.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving the lighting pipeline and contribute to lighting benchmarks and guidelines for the team.
  • Cross collaborate with team members including environment art, level design, VFX, cinematics and tech art to ensure the lighting content is cohesive and aligns with project goals.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience as a lighting artist in real-time rendering game projects.
  • Portfolio that showcases a strong grasp on the craft of creating compelling visuals through lighting, as well as a gamut of experience in lighting for environments and character cinematics.
  • Moderate production experience and good understanding with physically based rendering pipeline and production experience with lighting within a game engine (preferably Unreal Engine 4 or 5).
  • Understands the fundamentals of light, colour and value, visual compositions and photographic or cinematography techniques in relation to their application in games.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong collaborative nature, self-motivated, and open to feedback but also possessing a strong capacity to address both creative and technical problems.

Desirable skills:

  • Experience with DaVinci Resolve.
  • Experience with Blueprints or other visual scripting tools.
  • Experience with Shaders, Materials, Profiling, and technical aspects of game art.
  • Good understanding of HDR pipelines.

Benefits:

  • Discretionary bonus opportunity
  • Hybrid Working (within Flexmodes)
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Dental Scheme
  • 25 days holiday per year
  • Free soft drinks
  • Access to cycle garage and showers
