The Manager, FP&A will support the team in measuring and communicating the financial performance of Motion Picture Finance. This role involves financial modeling, managing quarterly budgets and financial forecasts, and collaborating with Content, Distribution, and Global Marketing teams. This position offers a front-row seat to developing new business strategies within a dynamic environment. Responsibilities include leading budgeting, analyzing financial performance, developing reports, contributing to forecasting, collaborating across teams, supervising a direct report, and conducting ad-hoc financial analyses.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field, 3-4 years experience.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Summary of Position

The Manager, FP&A of the Business Strategy & Planning team will support the team in on-going measurement and communication of financial performance of Motion Picture Finance. This role will be responsible for financial modeling, managing quarterly budgets and financial forecast while collaborating across verticals with the Content, Distribution and Global Marketing teams. This is a cross-vertical role with touch points across the company with a front row seat to the development and creation of new business strategies. Your work will play an integral role in supporting all finance functions across the Motion Picture Group (MPG) and the Lionsgate corporate team. Responsibilities

  • Lead the quarterly budgeting and financial forecasting process for Lionsgate’s Motion Picture Wide Release slate.
  • Analyze and evaluate the financial performance of the Motion Picture Group (MPG), partnering with senior management to establish KPIs, identify opportunities, and mitigate risks in line with strategic objectives.
  • Develop analyses and reports on key business drivers, trends, and performance metrics to provide actionable insights that inform forward-looking business strategies.
  • Contribute significantly to the quarterly financial forecasting process, generating analysis and reporting that guides senior leadership and the Board of Directors on the MPG’s financial standing.
  • Work closely with Divisional Sales Planning teams to streamline the planning process.
  • Collaborate across MPG verticals and key functions such as Marketing, Sales, Corporate Finance, and Accounting.
  • Supervise and mentor one direct report.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses for senior management.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics or related field with 3 - 4 years of experience; prior experience in entertainment industry a plus
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel 
  • Prior experience with financial planning systems or automated reporting tools (SAP BPC, Tableau) a plus 
  • Highly analytical with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, acute attention to detail, ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at once
  • Critical thinker with experience in problem solving
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a high-level of intellectual curiosity, focus on generating results and exhibit the highest personal and professional standards
  • An interest in movies or entertainment a plus
  • Team player who possesses a “can-do” attitude for all situations, no task too big or small to handle
